IT WAS AMAZING!!!
a big big thank you to Fudge who offered me a ticket to this fantastic event.
We got into this small venue just off Regents Street and had to hand over all mobile phones, MP3 players, camras... and anything else electrical.
We went upstrairs and there was a small lounge with a small stage area set up with 2 chairs behind a table. we found 2 stools on the right hand side and had a chat while everything was getting ready. Fudge is such a nice person and so easy to get along with.
Soon, the Hypnotize album started playing while camra crews were going around filming us. The album is Amazing. kinda heavier like their older stuff but still touching new ground and still very unique.
After the album played, Shavo and John came out. Fudge and myself stood up and stood right at the front in the middle. there was a Q&A session with a lot of banter and talk back with the audience. Shavo is such a funny guy and told a secret story about John being a Gay Icon!
After this session, we all queued up and was able to get 2 items signed.
I first went to Shavo and shook his hand and gave him a letter that Chantelle (Alkaline_Blonde) asked me to pass on to the band. he signed my posters and i asked him about SOADfans.com . he siad that he'd never been on the site but i wrote out the link and he will be visiting us as soon as he gets a chance!!!
Next was John. Like Shavo, he was so laid back and the most easiest guy to talk to in the world. again i shook his hand and as he was signing i asked about SOADfans.com . he told me that he doesn't use the internet but he will log on and he will also visit us as soon as he gets a chance.
after that i was buzzing. both myself and Fudge left with out signed goods and were both buzzing about the whole evening.
it was an amazing night that i will never forget |

Wow sounds great Voodoo I'm glad you got to go! If I went I would've demanded Serj and Daron! Even though I would settle for John and Shavo |

could you tell us a bit more about the album?
what were the weakest (worst) tracks on the cd if there were any?
were there any songs which sounded like the cocaine song or violent porn? u know those quirky songs that they always have in every album, anything like that? thanks. |

Well the studio versions of Holy Mountain, Kill Roack n Roll and Hypnotize were amazing. and Soldier side, although it as a light intro, it's quite a heave song. there is a song like Cocane where Daron keeps shouting "Ass" in it, and there's one song that the intro remings me of the Vurve sing, The Drugs Don't Work.
There was no introductions or descriptions for any of the songs so i can't get into detail on any of them. but i can say that it's such an Amazing Album |
