Serj talking about solo album |

System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian has revealed that he's in the
throes of a solo album, which he hopes to release at some point in 2007. System
Of A Down announced that the last time fans will see the band for a long while
is on the 2006 Ozzfest tour, which closed this weekend.
Tankian said he's looking forward to his solo album, which he had been working
on for a while.
"It's hard to really explain, but I've done a lot of songs. I have a lot of
songs for it already, and I'm... It's going to be rock, mostly rock, and
different -- different than System, but I think it will have a lot of the truth
telling that System has, and potency that it has, represented in a different
way. That's really all I can say."
Tankian added that the album will be very different than his experimental and
improvisational Serart project.
"Serart was a collaboration that I did with Arto Tuncboyaciyan, and that was
more of an improvisational record. We did the whole record in seven days, just
walk in and do a whole record from scratch. And that was really fun. That would
be more something to use for films or world music type of sphere. This would be
more rock."
Tankian will also be busy supporting Bad Acid Trip, Slow Motion Reign, and his
new signing Fair To Midland, which are all signed to his Serjical Strike label.

Im glad it wont be another Serart, Serart was good but i dont think Serart2 would be what we need to hear from Serj as a solo project

I GUARENTEE YOU, even though DARON'S Scars is gonna be kick ass... SERJ'S solo album will be 10 TIMES BETTER. MY ONLY QUESTION IS.. who's serj gonna use for his backup band?
