Did System of a Down break up?(Side Project news.. Last Update 8/19/07)
System of a Down is on hiatus, a long break after a very busy couple of years of hard working, releasing 2 albums, touring world wide in over 30 cities non-stop. Therefore there will be NO new materials or new tours for System of a Down (as a band) for at least a year or two ahead.
Also,
System of a Down members have several side projects to work on, solo albums, collaborations with other musicians and others which will keep them busy.
Elect The Dead
In a recent interview, Serj said his new upcoming Solo Album will be released on
October 23rd 2007. The first single
"Unthinking Majority" will be digitally released on
August 7th followed by another single ,
"Empty Walls", to be released on
October 15th.
The album will be released via Serjical Strike/Reprise Records. The track listing for the effort is as follows:
