Talk
about putting on a show! Wow, System of a Down did just that on December 10th
2005 at The Gibson Amphitheater or better known as The Universal Amphitheater. I
have been to many of Systems concerts but this show was something to remember.
They started out their set with “Attack” a new hit from their recently released
album Hypnotize and from then on it was just a blur.
System of a Down rocked the audience with a whopping hour and a half set playing
a combination of songs from Hypnotize, Mezmerize, Toxicity, Steal this Album and
System of a Down. I could say one thing for sure; there was a lot of brotherly
love and respect on stage between Serj, Daron, John and Shavo on this night. The
fans were going wild as well as SOAD.
The guys were so charged up that I didn’t know which one to look at, maybe to
much Red Bull and Vodka? I don’t know what it was but it was an amazing
performance that left everyone with their jaws dropped. System of a Down just gets better and better every time I see them, I just
never know what to expect anymore but one thing is for sure I have never walked
out of an SOAD show disappointed.
The highlights of the evening: Daron took a stage dive into the pit, Shavo
climbed up on the speakers so high it made me panic and Serj was so pumped he
started to kick down instruments on stage and these are only a few things that I
remember. Like I said WOW man this was truly a performance that I will never
forget and I feel privileged to have been there. Long live System of a Down!!!!!
The show took 94 minutes, setlist was:
Attack
BYOB
Revenga
Hypnotize

dood. i dont think system would care if a record didnt sell. according to just about every interview i've read from this site so far, theyve mentioned that they really dont care ive it sells or if people like it. one of the main reasons i love this band is bc i can take comfort in the fact that theyll always be true to themselves and never sell out or even worry about dollars or numbers... Fuckin' Green Day/Metallica. the concert is fantastic, im about to watch it again :) when i went to see them in dallas i dont even remember awesome stuff happening like daron n shavo teaming up or shavo singing "you wanted to", and i especially do not recall anything like john playing shavos bass, the acoustic christmas concert sounds pretty good once it gets rolling, but its even better to watch.

The concert is very good; one of the best I've heard. I've heard several concerts and went to one last August. It seems to take SOAD 3 or 4 songs to warm up and get fully into their music. And then, non-stop energy feeding timing. I read something from this site where Daron and Shavo were talking about on the album(s) where Daron stepped-in a couple places and played the bass. They didn't say where, but watching the video for this show I think it may have been on QUESTION! If u watch the interaction between Shavo and Daron u can see. I don't think they played any songs from Steal This Album. I could only successfully download and run the full video show, whose link is down but is available when the audio link is clicked. The video is well worth the download. Thank you to those who made the show available. I could download the audio available when Downloads at the top of the page is selected and your logged-in. But, after I downloaded the audio and the software necessary to run it, I couldn't open the files--constant errors.
