it seems since mezermize soad does give a fuck wat the fans think. Question was the most least favorite song on mezmerize according to all other sites iv. seen. So they choose it, i mean its a good song but there are WAY BETTER ON THE ALBUM. Lonely day is a good song as well but still there are WAY BETTER SONGS ON THE ALBUM TO CHOOSE FROM. Like Holy Mountain or Shes Like Heroion but thats just me and the people that voted so what ever system of a down 4ever and scarface 4life that goes out to you zack fuck yeah

man, i was hopping for their next single to be a hard song, something like attack or dreaming. oh and btw, didnt daron say that there were going to be 5 singles from the mez/hyp albums with the first two from mez (byob and question) and two from hyp(hypnotize and now lonely day) and the last one from MEZ. so the lost in hollywood theory could still be in effect, but i would hope for revenga. or maybe theyll change their minds and make soldier side their last single. it would be more appropriate. oh and best of luck to darons solo project.

I confess myself very disappointed in SOAD's choice as a single. It's too ordinary, it's a lot of Daron and very little of the rest of the band. In my opinion the lyrics are very subpar by SOAD standards and there are a lot of songs they could have chosen over it, Lost in Hollywood, Holy Mountains, Soldier Side, Tentative...........

I totally agree with brandy_4_the_nerves and cheezychaz.... I like the song but there are way better choices for singles on the album. I can't help but think that they have tried to pick the most radio-friendly song on the album :S

i actually have to disagree with the last few. i really respect darons decision with this, i mean he is a good writer, and he should do that, and lonely is probably perfect for them to release because it will definately sell some albums and, it will show , the new fans that mezmerize/hypnotize was not meant to be like their old stuff with chunky sounds, its supposed to be melodic, and other then soldier side this would be the best to prove that point

The solo project is gunna be sweet. I think that Lonely Day is a terrible choice. yeah, its good, it will bring new fans. And it will sell more cds. isnt that what we call "selling out"? I dont think that system sold out but releasing Lonely Day is too radio frendly and mellow. radio frendly and mellow are what the people like, and releasing it is a way to get the people to like it and buy the cd, that means that they are sorta selling out. I still really like system, but i am very dissappointed in their choices of singles and videos for Mezmerize/Hypnotize.

Toxicity and steal this album are not even comparable with mez/hyp . their previous albums were so systematized, i think that was bcoz of serj's unfaltering sound, come on ! daron is not a singer! i wish to hear good news about next singles (though lonely day single might become so popular among people, but soad fans expect more than...) . Need to see killrocknroll, holy mountains, vicinity, tentative, attack , SAD Statue, cigaro , revengae,....what ever but not u-fig, hypnotize and similar ones.

Cheap bastards, I knew they were going to make a single out of "Lonely Day", which just happens to be the most radio-friendly song SOAD has EVER WRITTEN. This kind of stuff makes me lose my respect for SOAD a bit... I'm disappointed. They should have released maybe "She's Like Heroin" or some other song that ain't radio friendly as their next single to prove that they don't do music for cash.

by the way, there's this one dj (was my fave once), who used to play the weirdest and best fuckin underground stuff ever, but he gradually changed, n now he plays some stuff, that is really awfully wack, and you can clearly tell, he's only doing it for the cash... is that about to happen to soad??????? hope not
