i don't think that's the end of soad.

soad will forever live regardless of them publically (at the moment) "being a band" or not. u've gotta be kidding me if

a) your pissed off that it SEEMS like its over

b) your pissed off because u think what serj said isn't to your liking

c) you think some shit about them split them apart

i'm such a soad fan that none of you would believe. i understand exactly their perspective and it does help that i myself am Armenian.

look at their history;

they came back from a hiatus after Steal This Album! with a KILLER double-album, and they looked WAY more than passionate on stage at ozzfest 2006.

SOAD is a band for themselves, and make music to express themselves somewhat to eachother, if you will. obviously music is their way of expressing themselves to others since 99% of ppl cant understand them when they just talk (for whatever reason), so if they are all (except John -- he's the only one that no one knows anything about musically) planning on ACTIVELY MAKING MUSIC DURING THE HIATUS (whether together or not), then OBVIOUSLY the individual members have passion for it and (from the looks of it) always will.

they are 4 brothers, like already said. 4 brothers don't get split apart over something small. if it turns out that they are "over" as a band eventually, then there is a reason. and frankly, that reason isnt important. if u understand and really love SOAD, you will trust that it was the best decision for them to make, and that there was a reason that we may not understand, but to them means a whole lot more.

there is a HUGE probablilty that they are NOT gona be over for a long time, thats obvious -- cmon, its SOAD -- so relax, and enjoy the music that there is to come from these talented people, and bask in their skill.

I believe that it can`t be over in principle)) Soad in my opninion is a unique band which gave a new breath, a new inspiration to rock music. Their songs are the soul, rage and tears of rock simultaneously... Absolutely unbelievable, how do they manage to create the music we all will be proud of 20 years after and I`m sure we will. And it`s not the end even if we don`t see the "good old SOAD" together in future! IT`S ONLY THE BEGINNING.

I cannot believe it, does so just a short time that I know this huge band and now they say to me that they separate nooooooo, because? , they inspire many things now to me and that goes away that I am going to do, I never had the opportunity of being able to see them and to listen live that hurts much to me but if they could see this them diria - - in truth thank you very much give us musica really, musica that is born of the heart, songs like Chop Suey!, Toxicity, Hypnotize, wonderful those 5 us thanks to give albums. . . I personally think that it's sad that they are separating. I also feel that they have their reasons to do it and according to Serj they have been doing it for 11 years and thats a long time. They have thier own reasons to separate and thats all I can accept

i think serj should try to keep the band together, there amazing win they play there songs...lonely day...chop suey, hypnotize, toxicity, there all amazing songs!!!i hope they don break up the band and it be a mistake
