Ozzfest Review Seattle, WA June 29, 2006

It was an amazing show, SOAD was the goofiest I have ever seen them and looked like they were having a lot of fun on stage together. At one point Daron came over to Serj and Serj started patting Daron's head during the middle of a song. I think Serj and Daron managed to fit the word "fuck" into every sentence they used when talking to the crowd. Daron sang the Mr. Rogers theme song at one point near the end also.
This is the list of songs they played at Ozzfest. Some of the songs are out of order, maybe way out of order, but I'm pretty sure this is all of them.
Soldier Side intro: instead of a curtain Daron came out by himself and sang the intro and then everyone came and started attack.

BYOB: After Daron says "And we don't live in a fascist nation" he add-libs and says "yes we do"

Needles
Chop Suey!
Violent Pornography: Daron did the intro singing the chorus slow and also talking about how bad TV is and that all religions are fake and you should find your own god and also bands to follow and basically just don't conform.
Cigaro: the intro to cigaro was very funny with him singing the chorus slowly again and add-libbing some more

Kill Rock 'n' Roll: Daron's intro was him saying how rock and roll sucked, heavy metal sucked, all music sucked and he sucked. or something like that
Lonely Day: this was a big surprise to me because I actually somewhat enjoyed it. Daron totally changed the verses and turned it into a funny song.

War?: SOAD stuck with the new version of this song with the techno part in the middle and serj adding the "AK-47's" line to the song
Aerials
Toxicity: Daron said before the song that it went out to one of the greatest guitarists ever randy rhoads
Suite-Pee: shavo's bass intro to the ending of the song was perfect and one of the highlights of the night for me.
Sugar: Daron did his "let's get ready to fucking rumble" intro and they finished off a great show with a great song. |

Holy hell that concert was totally crazy!!
First Daron came on stage wearing a funny little hat and fur coat and played
'soldier side', then the dome exploded as they began 'Attack', followed by
'BYOB' and 'Revenga', then Daron started pulling a tape worm out of his ass.
'Deer dance' was next... Daron once again jumped into the crowd... on top of me
and my friends!!! I got to try to play his guitar while he was on my shoulder (haha), his new black
Gibson SG.
They played through to 'Lonely day' and 'Kill Rock' n' Roll' , then a huge surprise of
'Old School Hollywood' and 'Radio/Video'.
Then Daron screamed at the crowd to take him home, and followed up by saying "I
live in a van down by the river, and so does he and him and him too" as he point
at Serj, John And Shavo.
Finally to end they played good old 'Suite pee' and 'Sugar', but half way
through 'Suite pee' Shavo's bass started to scream so he started smashing it around in
frustration and finally through it at the wall beside the drum kit and totally
annihilated it.
All in all a very VERY awesome System's show in cow town that left me bruised yet
satisfied.

Edmonton Concert Review June 25, 2006

Just got back from the System of a Down show in Edmonton. First off I would
like to say that the show was AMAZING, the fan interaction was the best I have
ever seen System of a Down do and they owned the stage.
The night started off with Bad Acid Trip, they were not my style and same with
Hatebreed. But enough about them on to System.
I might have this in the wrong
order of events but o well also the set list will be off but I will include all
that they played.
It started off with Darren playing "Soldier side intro" then he
yelled 'What's up Edmonton the cup belongs in Canada' (Referring to the Edmonton Oilers Stanley cup loss). After that they played Attack, B.Y.O.B, Revenga, after
they talked to the fans and went on and 'oh ya' Daron JUMPED INTO THE CROWD! and
Shavo and Serj were saying how much the fans kicked ass then they played
Needles, Psycho with a kick ass solo from Daron then Deer Dance, and
Suggestions.
After that came Chop Suey, Sad Statue, Kill Rock N Roll and for the
FIRST TIME EVER 'Old School Hollywood' and it kicked ass.
After that somebody
threw a red shirt at Daron and he threw it back he was like ''Stinky throw me
something I need, Like a Joint!'' so everybody started throwing joints up there
and Daron and Shavo lit it up and somebody throws a eraser and Serj says ''What
the fuck is that is that an eraser? Who the fuck brings an eraser to a
concert?''
After that Daron said I hope I can do this right I'm baked and we
have never done this before and they played 'Radio/Video' and it was perfect. Then
came Violent Pornography and Cigaro with intros to both. After that came Lonely
day, Hypnotize, Cocaine and Lost in Hollywood. Before Question John did a Drum
Solo!!!
And Daron's amp has to be fixed so Serj played a cool little thing on
the acoustic guitar before then the played Question, and Lost in Hollywood. They
then played War with the robotics in the middle of the song, then Prison Song,
Aerials and Holy Mountains. They finished off with Toxicity, Suite-Pee and a
little short song sounded like a part of Question and then finished off with
Let's get ready to rumble....... Sugar finished it off then Daron said again
twice before leaving "The cup belongs in Canada, The cup belongs in Canada".
