Okay, so let's get some things straight: 1 - I have no pictures, don't ask for any, my camera was a cock and died out on me during Tom's set. 2 - I didn't meet Serj, but it was my fault, since I was standing for about 6 hours, my legs hurt like a bitch, and I wanted to get home. I don't really give a shit that I didn't meet him, because I always have next year. Anyway...
We waited on the line for about an hour, doors opened at 7:30. In the mean time, some dude gave us a free cd thing from his band, which was pretty cool. When we got in, there was some movie clips playing on a projector and some rap music playing in the background. This went on for about 2 hours. People started screaming "SERJ, SERJ, WE WANT SERJ!".
At about 9:00, Tom came out. He was simply amazing, and the duet between him an Serj was pretty kick-ass. Now, I thought Tom wouldn't do good, but he surprised me. During the beginning of one song, he had to tune his guitar and the dude next to me shouted "TUNE THAT SHIT, TOMMY!" which was actually pretty hilarious if you were there, and Tom said that was the best thing he's heard on the tour. He played 8 songs, 2 new ones, and "This Land Is Your Land". At the end of his last song, he told us to fucking jump. So what did we do? WE FUCKING JUMPED! It was absolute fun, and after jumping we started moshing.
Then there was a 40 minute break, the projector was up again, so we were chillin'. FINALLY, Serj and the FCC came out, pumped and ready to go. I moved to the back, since up front they started crowd-surfing and moshing and I wasn't up for it tonight, my body really ached. They played a brilliant set, and maybe tomorrow I will review each song (that I remember). All I can say was Feed Us, was by far, the best song of the night IMO. Anyway, he said he felt at home and that we were the best audience, in which we replied with an all-out cheer. So yeah, kick-ass set, really impressed the shit out of me. He should put out a live album, I'd love to hear the Charades he played tonight on it.
Time to sleep now, I'm fucking tired (and people were smoking a lot of weed, so that kinda fucked with me a bit, I can't hear a thing, and I'm very weak). I shall write a review that makes sense tomorrow. Edit: Excuse me spelling, I lost a lot of brain cells tonight around those people.

Well of course, he just wants us to get all riled up.
But lmao, this guy and girl that were near me kept shouting at each other about sucking Serj's cock. It was... weird. That was also a reason I went to the back, people in the front were loud and obnoxious.

Okay so I promised a review of the entire setlist, and I am up now (my legs still really fucking hurt -- which I think took away from some of the night, but the music more than made up for it), so here we go...
Setlist (the only 2 songs not included are Lie Lie Lie and Honking Antelope because I don't remember them at all, just going by the setlist the Flying Cunts of Chicago had):
- The Unthinking Majority: It was probably my least favorite song of the night, but that's because it sounded like Serj needed a warm-up, but by the time he got to Feed Us he was doing a damn fine job. I don't like the fact that they played it faster, and it was a bit of a disappointment. Serj didn't sound like Serj at all at first, however (PS: Serj you bitch stop smoking you're gonna fuck up your voice).
- Empty Walls: I don't really remember this performance, meaning it wasn't bad, but he didn't seem to put his heart into as much as the other songs he performed. In short, it was forgettable.
- Feed Us: As I said before, simply the best song of the night. This performance blew me away, and this was the point you could hear the passion in Serj's voice.
- Saving Us: Oh man. There's not much to say about this one, but that is not a bad thing - I was so wrapped up in the music, I couldn't focus on anything but the music, I even forgot where I was during this song. It was really captivating.
- Baby: I dunno, from what I hear here on SOADFans this song isn't really loved as much as I believe it should be. It was in my top 3 of the night, and fuck, it's HARD to choose a top 3! But they all did great here.
- Sky Is Over: Again, at this point he really seemed into it, jumping around, dancing, doing whatever the fuck he does. I can easily see why people love this song so much, amazing shit.
- PTLAPTA: I only vaguely remember this song, because he said the title and something about WWII or... something. Yeah. I wish I could remember more, since I recall it being pretty damn good... but I don't, se too bad.
- Charades: Now, I never heard this song before (despite having the AOJ CD, sue me, it's like a collector's item and I don't wanna open it), but man, this was a great performance. My first time hearing it, and it was live. That'll be forever in my mind. IMO, one of the best of the night (even though there are many songs they played that account for best, but whatever).
- Holiday in Cambodia: At first, I didn't know it was this song, because the guitar didn't sound like it at all... but it was a killer performance, Serj sang just as great tonight as he did when he was at the VMAs (although, you could really notice how high his voice has gotten - I like it more now).
- Beethoven's Cunt: I admit, I laughed when he screamed the intro and I knew what song it was. Good performance, however I don't remember much about it, all the weed got to me.
- Elect the Dead: My God... what a beautiful song. It was really touching, and his sang his heart out in this one. People started clapping to the beat, which I didn't really like... but he didn't seem to mind. This was definitely the best song to end this night with.
Okay, I love his backing band. They really went all-out, and I believe the drummer (forgot his name) did such a swell job, he got me back into wanting to take up drums. These guys... they can put on a show, I'm telling you. Serj was smiling all night long, and he looked really happy that so many people were jumping around to the right songs, and standing still quietly during others. This was the best choice for a first concert, and I hope he comes back next year..
PS: If anyone who also went to the show has pictures, you can put them up in this thread.

Haha yeah, my parents noticed when I came home that I was acting strange, they thought I was the one smoking. Cool that you met him, ez. I didn't hear anyone scream BABY, though. But yeah, fun times man, too bad my head was spinning or else I would've went up there to mosh.
Were you moshing, ez? Also, I lied. I did get pictures (before it died on me) 2 of Tom and 2 of Serj - but the angle on Tom's SUCKS some bitches head was in my way, but the Serj ones came out pretty nice. I may put them up later, idk.

Was at the concert last night with a couple of my friends.Found out about a week ago Tom Morello was gonna open for him and decided to download his album and give it a listen.Definately not my type of music but at least hes doing his own thing. We watched the begining of his set and then proceeded to have a cigarette outside like a bunch of caged animals.Everyone was so cool just bullshitting about System and having a good time. When we were going back in, Crazy Cabby (X 92.3k-rock DJ) came outside for a smoke.Hes kinda nobody these days but was definately pretty big when he was on K-rock, so that was cool to see him.Anyway, Serj and FCC did an excellent job.Serj is the true "One Man Revolution".He told us he felt like he was in his fucking house, thats how comfortable he was with us.He also said "I love this fucking place" referring to Irving Plaza.Actually seen System there 2 years earlier, which is by far my favorite concert of all time, and Ive been to a few.So overall, they did a good job and kept the croud very pleased.Nothing beats these small venues, even if your all the way in the back you have a good view because of the size of the joint.Speaking of which, there was indeed plenty of joints going around, which was good! =)
Anyway, heres some barely decent quality pictures.Hopefully others have some better quality and possibly a video. If your reading this and you do, make the effort man, just as I have.

Definitely. It was a real treat, hearing them for the first time live. I'm glad I held it out for so long.
And yeah man, I was near the bar, and I had a real clear view of Serj and his band, so I didn't mind not being crushed to death to see him up-close. You think he'll come back next year? 'Cause I will definitely go again.
