System Of A Down - Main Stage - 2003
With the last day of Reading 2003 coming to an end, System Of A Down really had bare minimum to prove. The sunset created another atmosphere within the festival and the band made their appearance. looking completely different infact. Daron Malakian almost looked unrecognisable with the hideous amount of hair on his face, in contrast to Serj who managed to take a step forward and trim the goods. System managed to pull off another memorable performance for the Reading crowd, blasting classics such as War? Suite-Pee and Know. At this stage, the crowd were out of control, huge, dangerous slam pits with the taste of dust amongst us. System were not done, they managed to play almost every song of theirs you could think of, many from "Steal This Album" and from the huge album "Toxicity". This was a tremendous warm up for what was to come afterwards (headliners Metallica), but System really showed what they were capable of. Daron also proved he can play songs without messing up, which came as a surprise, maybe the hair made a difference. Not quite as good of a set as they did back in 2001 but this was close. Other songs the band played were, Chop Suey, Toxicity, Forest, Prison Song, Chic n Stu, Innervision, IEAIAIO and many more.

a) System were a trillion times better than Metallica, and b) their set was amazing, moreso than 2001. And c) they didn't play Know or Innervision.

Were you there yourself?

You should really credit the website then. This review makes you look stupid, because it's factually inaccurate.

No, I've had no formal training. I just learned by practicing … hours of practicing. It was like my homework. I’ve been playing for 16 years now, since I was around 11, but you never finish learning.
