OK theres been a lot of threads on what is the correct tuning for each song/album, so I shall clear this up once and for all!
System of a down: Drop C
Toxicity: Drop C
Steal this album: Drop C
Mezmerize/Hypnotize*: Drop Db
Drop C= C G C F A D
Drop Db = Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb
* Dreaming & Question! are in C, as opposed to the rest of the album
The acoustic guitar in Question! is in standard tuning (E A D G B E)

By the way, SOAD do not play anything in Drop D, but it is a lot quicker to tune your bottom string to D when your just practising, than to tune all strings down to Drop C or Db. If you want to play along with the CD then I'd advise you to tune all strings down to their correct tuning. |
