Lmao indeed that's a very good remark Dream0ver.
@marmaladeneedles: i was thinking about a gun too if that was what you're referring too :p
And it indeed is the 35th song not the 36th song. lol (maybe there is an invisible song or a secret song that is there but nobody knows except for ck_malakian :p

Seems like this is a very mysterious song in soad history.

Im sure it's called 36 for 2 reasons. In a interview with french tv, shavo explained ho he loves the number 36, therefore it was a coincedence that the first recording (which was sometimes mistaken as flake) the song was .36 seconds long.
The meaning of the song is basically about people and trends nd that tv advertises the latest trned you must move with the pace, but the band think that you should move at your own pace.

Cheers.

Quick update, i checked for ages on websites, and found cd-36, isn't a disc format, it's cd-32, and 52. So that is a reference to the song. As a joke for the whole burned pen marker feel probably.

I'm not sure why it's called 36, but the song's meaning is pretty clear to me:

Television is disgrace
Life, you get old, it's the race
Can you break out?
Can you break out?
Will you live at your own pace?

The first line is saying that reality tv focuses so little on what really happens in our world, that it's a bad influence on everyone. Then the next line is saying that you've lived life and nobody knows what happens when your life ends, so if you want to continue to live or die, there's no way you can deal with how fast your death may occur.

Life, so, unecessary

This just means that the concept of life seems so pointless when we know we're so small in the universe.

Then all the lines repeat so the rest of the song basically continues its meaning. And the entire concept is pretty much life itself.

I really want to know what the significance of this number is!
It has been driving me insane for like a month Laughing
And beside the fact that it's the 36th song in album sequence, I got nothing.
This number even haunts me! Almost every time I look at the time, or at any number in general it's got a 36 in it.
Maybe 36 is the new 23 Laughing Laughing

New Album not gonna sound like any of our Records....................... It's melodic in some ways and it's heavy, but a lot of stuff happens in between the heavy
