I mean I'm not dissin on Daron in any way/shape/form,
but it just seems like he kind of took over on those last 2 albums, ya know?
I mean, he did like 75% of vocals,
did most of the bass tracks,
wrote pretty much all of the music, [from my sources]
That's what makes me think that Mez and Hyp were like, SOB feat. Serj Tankian, ya know? |

| Mhm, I definitely see what you mean. I do like Mez/Hyp a lot, but compared to their 3 albums prior to making those... they're kinda subpar (Mez moreso than Hyp), singing-wise. The music is faster and louder, but it doesn't have that same feeling to it that self-titled especially had. Everyone keeps saying not to expect anything about SOB, but I am. I'm expecting. |

no, he did about 45% or 50%, I heard this on one of their interviews................. |

^ Thank you for the update monster,
I wasn't sure on the actual percentage.
And I agree with you Quinto,
Mez and Hyp are very good,
But it just doesn't seem like there is as much emotion/in depth/passion in them like the other 3,
and I guess that's why I don't really like them as much as the others. |

can't everyone already tell that SOB sounds completely different to system?!! the one song that sounds similar to soad is Universe in my opinion (hence why loadsa people of here love it)
apart from that, all the music is slowly paced rock...not metal...no double bass drumming, the guitars are alot slower and the melodies between lead guitar and the keyboard are much more layered and effective....if you're expecting SOB to sound like system without Serj...you're going to be surprised |
