No, I'm not really married to him, but sometimes I feel like I am....

My husband is in the navy and right now he's on a 6 month deployment fighting the stupid fucking war or whatever you want to call it. Every day all I can think of is how I don't want him to have any part in this... I know he doesn't believe in it but he felt like joining the military was the only way to turn his life around (this was before we got married and during a time when we weren't together)... I can't stand the idea of his boat guarding the oil pipelines, or shooting missles at innocent people.... and I'll never know because he's not allowed to tell me anything that goes on. If he died in this bullshit war I think I'd be the most cynical rotten bitch ever for the rest of my life. Technically I'm not even supposed to talk about being anti-bush, because if anyone from our base found out my husband could get in huge trouble at work... I can't even have the bumper stickers I want on my car because I might have to go on-base.... the love of my life signed his soul away (for the next 4 years at least) to a terrorist, basically... I don't know how much longer I can take this. Thank god he's not in the army or the marines, I guess.

Dear.. May I hug you ? looks like you need it...

Don't be ashamed...It must be very frustrating and very scary at the same time. There is no dishonor in being in the military, life isn't as smooth and as easy as we'd like it to be and if your husband had to go through this, it's obvious he's not a hound of war... and now he has you.
Unfortunately for him, bad timing.
I just hope nothing bad will happen to the one you love, that he'll be back home soon or will run away one way or the other back to your arms.
They always send the poor, don't they ?

*sorry - hugs*

well it's just hard cuz all the people I know now seem to be religious, republican hicks from waaaay up north or waaaay down south... they don't understand and I'm not the type to try to "convert" people. The only people who might have the same political views as me are the beach people (I just moved to Virginia Beach)... but I hate beach people too.... bah.

well I 'preciate it... when I said "religous " I wasn't refering to when you mentioned prayer or anything that's fine with me.... just saying it's hard for me to relate to some of their views etc, generally making it hard for me to be here by myself. Thanks again. Very Happy

^I know what you mean. Wink There's an entirely different lifestyle here in West Virginia, compared to where I grew up in New York.

at least someone knows what I mean. I grew up near Boston and usually no one has the faintest clue what I'm talking about. All I wanna do is go get a cup of coffee or see a band play, and everyone else is like "let's listen to country music and go to the beach!"
