This is my first forum so go easy on me.
"My Baby, My Baby
Let me know
Because you love me, you love
Let me go..."
That part is simply talking about someone, let's say a girl, who wants him but he doesn't want her. My opinion. Now let's continue:
"And your my lover, you pay me
twice my size..."
And that part sounds like this person is somehow bribing Serj into a relationship. Something like that. Moving on...
"And on your knees you lay
in my thighs..."
I think that part is actually talking about HOW she is bribing him...with a lap dance or something of the like.  That's the only thing I could think of, I thought about it for a long time and that's all I could think of! The song is supposed to be humorous.
"Take my hand and let's end it all,
she broke her little bones on the boulders below
take my hand and let's end it all!"
That part is a little harder for me to say. But he could be saying that they should end thier "relationship" because if they continued it be a lie. Does this sound like a loud of balony to you? It does to me but I'll continue...
"My baby, my baby

He's saying in this part that he wants to know if it really is a lie and even if it isn't he still doesn't want her.
Maybe this next thing wont make sense but it does with the first part. This next part is the reason why they can't continue because it sounds to me that they are related. That's where this next next portion comes from:
"Cause I'm your brother, you brother
have some pride...
and now you love me, you love me
then die tonight..."
Now it's the chorus agian and I'm not re-typing it. But they're is this next part:
"And while she fell I delightfully said,
Lalala...lie lie lie..."
I think this part while combined with the rest of the chorus is about how he still says that they shouldn't continue. But then she seems hurt, (she broke her little bones on the boulders below), but he still thinks it's a lie.
Then at the end, (it's the chorus again) it sounds like she decided to go by his way yet she still seems sad. But Serj still says:
"And while she fell, I smiled,
Lalala...Lie lie lie" because he knows that it is a lie. So there you have it, that's what I think that song says. You could either completly agree or completly disagree or stay in between. That's what this forum is for, right? If you think I'm wrong, prove it! If you think I could be right, then COOL. We all have our own opinions, and it is rarley possible that we could actually say what Serj really meant. |
