Yeah, well, I checked it out. And decided that an actual comics fan deserved to win. I feel totally unqualified.

And besides, the winner wasn't guaranteed to meet John anyway. Wtf?

LOL.

Then what the hell would they win? Confused I might have to rush and do this challenge tonight - it's not over yet, is it?

I was bored so I did the comp today:

First Clues lead to
Avengers West Coast #65

You get the second set of clues:

Quote:
Congratulations! You have found the first comic book of the “Torpedo Comics Challenge”.

Here is your next set of clues, good luck!

1. Two of the characters featured in this issue are brothers.

2. One of the characters once teamed up with an alien “Ghost”.

3. One female villain in this issue was in love with another male villain.

4. Two Avenger male characters in this issue were at some point in time infatuated with a female avenger.

The second set of clues lead to:
Avengers (Vol. 1) #269

Which give you the third set of clues:

Quote:
You’re half way there! Keep up the great work!

Here is the next set of clues:

1. One of the Avengers in this issue is an Olympian God from Ancient Greece.

2. Another Avenger in this issue is an Asgardian God.

3. Another Avenger in this issue fought with King Richard the Lionheart during the Crusades.

4. This issue features a character that has ties to Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four.

5. This issue features the one true love of Kang who has multiple variations on her name and her history.

Which leads to Avengers: The Terminatrix Objective #2

You then get the fourth set of clues:

Quote:
You are just one comic book away from unlocking the “Torpedo Comics Challenge”!

Here is the final set of clues:

1. This issue takes place in the city of Chronopolis, a huge city that is spread out over multiple era’s of time.
2. This issue features the last days of Immortus’ life.
3. This issue features the reappearance of the Council of Cross-Time Kangs.

The last one sounds the easiest, but I cant do it, Immortus apparently dies alot in these comics so that doesnt help..

Anyone else wanna try and get the last comic?

I'll keep trying but I doubt I'll get it...

I'm pretty impressed by what you've done so far, Skit!

Have you lurked around on the TC boards at all? Anyone there dropping any hints?

Anyway, this totally proves to me that I had no business in this contest. Only a fellow comics-fan (like John) has any business entering or winning.

Good luck, Skit & anyone else.
