The Prize
One lucky winner will win one - promotional Self-Titled SOAD album: 
Contest Theme
If you're into making or playing music then pickup ANY song from Serj Tankian's solo album Elect The Dead (regular album version) - you can make a cover or remix it (its totally open).
Use your creative music skills to cover or/and remix any song from Elect The Dead. Only one from your choice, using any extra effects, tools played, computer programs or anything you'd like.
Contest Rules - read carefully
1- Only SOADFans Members who are registered before January 1, 2008 are eligible to enter this contest.
2- Only one entry per member is allowed. (group or band entries are consider as one entry).
3- Do Not post your entry until the contest is over.
4- Mixing between two songs ARE allowed (but no more than two).
5- Entries must be original and not posted before on these forums (audio only - no videos).
6- Please upload your song somewhere, don't attach it to the email, and make sure the sound quality is good.
7- Deadline to receive the entries is January 26, 2008
How to Send Your Song
All entries should be sent on this email CONTEST@SOADFans.com with the following info:
-Subject: January Cover Songs Contest
-Your Real Name
-Your Member's name in SOADFans
-The name of the song you have covered/remixed
-The link of the entry (uploaded at any free host)
Please provide us with that info or your entry will be removed.
Contest FAQ
1- What tools should I use in the remix?
- Anything you like, its completely up to you.
2- Can I sing the song and then add a computer effect?
- Use whatever effects you like.
3- Can I mix 2 or more songs together?
- You can mix up to no more than 2 songs (more than 2 are not allowed).
4- Do I have to use vocals in my entry?
- Yes, as with past cover song contests, vocals must be included, to keep it in line with original song. The only thing that you can not use is original vocals by Serj.
5- I have sent my entry but didn't get a confirmation email?
- Make sure you have sent to the correct email, some people send to contestS instead of Contest.
If you're sure you sent it right then, wait 48 hours, if you didn't get any confirmation, then PM ZAk and he will check it out.
6- Is the prize signed by any of the band members?
- No, its not, maybe next time -
7- When will you announce the winner?
- The winner will be announced on the end of the month, selected by the Hut members.
Please don't rush sending your entry, take your time and be creative -
