Hello Everyone! 
I want to take the time to tell all of you some things. Looking ahead, despite recent happenings and people having disagreements, I really hope things can be worked out. It’s totally up to you - the individual - on how things work around here. It’s a new year and we’re heading in a new direction. 
Anyone who is new to SOADFans, welcome. Here are a few things you should become acquainted with as part of our community…

This FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) is based on everything we have here at SOADFans – and what that consists of, is everything that SOADFans members have submitted (news, downloads, photos from the gallery, etc.).
Use the ‘Ask a Question’ feature in case there is something you want to know that’s not already stated in the FAQ, and if we find an answer, your question will be added with the information to the FAQ. If we don’t feel it should be added to the FAQ or if there is no answer to your question, we will inform you by PM. Before asking a question, always search the FAQ prior to submitting your question.

These rules and regulations are what every member, including SOADFans team-members should know. By now, you should be aware of what they consist of and those of you that have been here for quite some time, would be expected to guide new members around this community. Most of you do that already, too and thank you very much. New people that haven’t done so please visit this forum and introduce yourselves, also please welcome new members:

We are a community. Every forum is a community, but with that in mind, community members are expected to treat each other with respect. You’ll find in every forum rules that are the same; they exist throughout this website, but there are some forums that have specific rules due to their content (example: Downloads, Trade, Fellow Musicians, Streamline, Random).
Because this is a community like no other, I want to also address another important issue. New people come SOADFans.com every day (now over 60,000 registered users as of 2008). Because of the continuous traffic and site content, we have a server fund that depends on donations. The Hut:
Since it has been asked about so frequently, this forum is for contributors, frequent donators and VIP members. We often take into consideration as far as who gains permission to access this special forum, so please don’t be discouraged or feel left out. Please don't ask the Admins for an access, you'll be noticed.
Everyone has their moments, there are rant threads and random thought threads (Random Forum), there are serious threads (Toxicity Forum), there are SOAD topics that people feel they need to discuss even though it's been done before.... I'm asking that everyone please be patient with new people and each other - make them feel at home.
Above all else, remember that you love a band - a group of 4 individuals that have changed your lives, some drastically and some not so drastically - all of us ( !!! ) are still learning things from System Of A Down and we're meeting great people through this SOADFans community from all over the world (universe? ). It takes time and patience and tolerance for all of us to get to know each other. Some more quickly than others. 
I really do cherish all the time that I spend here with each and every one of you.
