Sadly I had to travel there alone, because I found none of here or of my friends who wanted go with me. So I found on the way from the station to the venue my first friends for the evening. We waited there together in the queue for half an hour. So we got good places at front of the stage.
FTM showed up at 8pm, as promised and they made a really good show. Most of the people there weren't so interested in them and I got pissed and angry looks, while I was dancing and singing to there songs. That's quiete unfair to the band and, of course, also to me. They did there best to get the crowd on their side, but the people just stood there watching.
I always thought, that my dancing is silly, but then I saw Darroh dancing, that is really crazy. He waves his arms around and jumps over the stage, I really was surprised how he manages it not to fall over the microphone cable...
FTM left the stage at 8.40pm and we waited, and waited. The guys made one sound-check after the other and we waited, waited. At around 9.20 the FCC finally showed up and the crowd started shouting "Serj" all the time (Hey, first time I heard so many people scream the name of Serj and pronounce it right, not bad). They started with Unthinking Majority and for the first time I wished the songs is over. The crowd jumped so badly and I saw nothing at all. Right after that Serj welcomed us and started with Empty Walls. After the song the people got better, they stopped their behavior of pushing people through the crowed and I was finally able to see Serj, to sing an to take photos.
I'm not sure about the set-list anymore. But before Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition he started with something like the authorities say on one hand Praise the Lord, and on the other hand Pass the ammunition. He walked over the stage and said his Praise the lord everytime on the left side and Pass the Ammunition on the other side. So he splitted the crowd in one side screaming Praise the Lord and the other in screaming Pass the Ammuntion. He made it faster everytime he said it and was quiete happy, that we all followed him. He smiled the whole concert^^ I never saw him smiling so much.At the end of nearly every song Serj kneed on his carpet and sing the last lines of the songs. I like it, when he does this. Sadly I wasn't able to take a photo of this, because the crowd raised the arms at that part...
At the end of the first part of the concert Serj played a cover of the Beatles. Mmh, I don't know the name, but it has to be something with girl in. We all waved our hands, because nobody knowed the lyrics, but Serj had fun with singing that song. I guess that's the most important thing^^. Somebody throw a rose on the stage and Serj picked it up happy and waved it a long time during the song^^ But I have to say, after the concert I don't saw it again, guess it landed in the rubbish can...
After that they left stage, and we all knowed, that Money and Elect the Dead still weren't played, so all started shouting for more.
It's quite interesting, I forgot the english word for it, but the german word is "Zugabe", but you have to shout "Flughafen" (airport) it sounds the same and you have your fun. I heard so many people say Flughafen instead of Zugabe that I nearly pissed myself with laughing^^
After a few minutes Serj and the FCC came back and played finally Money. and after that, of course, FCC left the stage and Serj told us that is a song "just between you and me" then he sat down at the keyboards and played the song. All stood there and sang the song. I don't like the song, but at the concert it was so great to hear it.
Serj left the stage without any other word and we left for getting our jackets and bags back.
I really wanted an autograph of Serj, so I walked to the security guys and the stuff from the venue and asked them, where Serj would left and so on, but all I got was that he would leave by the main entrance. I waited there with some others, who waited for their people to pick them up.
At around half past eleven the security left the building, because nobody was in there.
I thought about it and waited several minutes, then I went back in the venue, asking for the backstage area. Someone of the german staff told me a bit, but not enough, but then one of Serj's staff came out, and I asked him (he wasn't able to understand what I talked with the other guy about) and he said me, where I can go in. So I just walked upstairs.
It was quiete small up there and first I saw a lot of people from the staff. I looked through all rooms and found FTM sitting there. I asked them and they told me, Serj was dressing up. So I sat to them and we talked about the whole world. I leraned that their bassist, Jon, played on one of the Metallica records, really cool, if you asked me^^ I got cigarretes and beer and allowed them to scribble in my book. It was really funny with them, they're as crazy as my friends^^ Serj came back after I guess 15 minutes, could also be more or less, dunno. I asked him finally for the autograph and he thanked me for signing Cool Gardens. He was also quiete surprised to get a copy of Cool Gardens and not of Elect the Dead.
But it was the worst failure I did. Because someone came to me, and told me, that I know should leave. I asked for a photo of Serj, and a man next to Serj (I guess it was his manager) just said "No" in a really mean voice. So I grabbed my stuff and wanted to leave. Jon looked at me surprised and asked me, why I was leaving, I told him, that I just got threw out and told him, that he should talk with the guy, but unfortunatly, FTM were also leaving at this point (they went to Frankfurt after that). But hey, I got what I wanted in the end^^
I post my pictures later, at the moment I'm still tired from the concert and the jpurney back home. I do it this night or maybe tomorrow |

Good to hear you had a great time and that you're one of those people who actually liked FTM as well! The Beatles cover is called 'Girl' btw and Zugabe is encore. I totally forgot about that chant before PTLAPTA, he did that in Amsterdam as well. Oh well..
And obviously looking forward to seeing your pics. |

It's a much better place than this thread.
Serj was much easier, especially when he sits on the keybaord or playing guitar^^ Then he isn't able to run away and lucky me was standing on the side where the keyboard stand.
The photos are in a chronogical order, so the first is from the beginning and the last two pictures are from Elect the Dead. I guess he was playing Save Us, when I took the first pics, but I'm not sure anymore.
Here are a picture of Darroh after the concert. He was telling me something so he was quiete surprised about the flash of the camera^^ He doesn't look like this all the time:

Although I'm not from Köln and I don't like the town and the people there so much (they're all crazy!!!) I was really glad that Serj said all the time Köln and not Cologne. Thank you for that, Serj^^

And I said already, that the flash made him look like this. But I had no time to make more photos, we were to busy in telling us stupid things -.- I tought some cuss words, but Americans pronounce "Fick dich" always like "Figg dick" I go check their site out, I don't know anything official about them, lmao |
