Hey everyone, i just got back from the benefit show, and once again, it was simply amazing. i got there around 6 pm and the line was around the block, which wasn't too fun, but i still ended up with a great spot. cigarosmoker and his friend joined me in line right before we went in, which was really cool. we got in, they went to their seats, i went and got a good spot, and waited for scars to come on. at about 8, they came on and rocked the house. they played the same set as the other shows, but everything was more fine tuned and there were a few changes (tempo, etc.). the whole band was happy to be on stage, daron was having a good time, john was beating up those drum heads as usual, and it was just a great time. my favorite songs by far are "Universe" and "Cute Machines." they're both amazing and i can't wait for the studio versions. the only negative thing was that the crowd was full of stupid people who didn't really wanna give scars a chance.
metallica played their set. it was pretty good, but they messed up a few times. i thought scars was better overall, but it was a totally different style of music. i had a great time, scars is getting better and better, and i can't wait till saturday to see them again!

| just browsing through the photos and the pix at the bottom have "Spin" in the top right hand corner...is that a TV channel in the States?? or a magazine or sumthin? if its a channel...that means it was recorded pro-shot?!!!!!!! (got a feeling my hopes will be crushed when someone tells me it isnt a tv channel lol) |

Sweet man, I really want to see Scars now. Im' not surprised about the crowd though. I figured more people showed up to see Metallica and alot of "metalheads" are elitist pricks anyway.
Glad you had a good time man.
Hmm, maybe that explains why they've requested that none of their shows be recorded. Maybe they're not playing the finished versions of the songs? Who knows, just thinking about loud. |
