This is actually the second time I've been writing this, cause for the first (two days ago) I accidentally shuted down the window with the whole review typed down And I've had no time since that, so that's why it's here so late. Apologies...
I did a long article for my fansite, but it's not in English, so right now I'll cut it just to what's most interesting.
I came to the place at 1 o'clock, Kato was opened and some guys were already unpacking the Scars stuff. So I walked out and came back at 5. We were just six people waiting for about two hours, before the other ones started to gather. So those two hours we had a chance to take a photos with Daron (he was really hurrying up, so there was no place for some talk) and meet Dominic, Danny and Franky. Man, they're so cool. I mean as a people - everyone, including the roadies (Sako, Hampig and I can't remember the name:)). They were just hangin around with us when they had some time before the show. I talked most to Danny, and... you know I didn't want to bother them with some lame SOB related questions.... but he's originally from Detroit (Red Wings!), played ice hockey, and last two years he's already been practising for Scars (right after John asked him). So the waiting itself turned out to be a very nice time.
They opened after 8:00 and Scars kicked the shit at approximately at 9:20. Here's the setlist...
I Like Suicide
Stoner Hate
World Long Gone
Enemy (and Drugs)
(Scars On Broadway) - I still don't have an idea what's that, but it was printed on their setlist again
Whore Street
Chemicals
Kill Each Other
Universe
Funny
Serious
Hungry Ghosts (that's an instrumental piece, not too long, Danny told me the name after the show, and also that it should be part of the song which is going to appear as a bonus track somewhere)
Cute Machines
They Say
OK... what can I write about the show.... It was intense, really intense. Franky moved A LOT. Daron also did, but he's a little limited by his position as the main singer. Everyone sweated like a pig. Serious is like an opposite to a relatively calm Funny. And it sounds awesome. The band really fits together, so I wouldn't change anything at all.
After the show, I catched one of John's drumsticks, bought a t-shirt (that's the only merchandise and they have girls and men version), Sako gave me Daron's and Franky's pick (man, Sako ROCKS!!) and then guys from the band came out once again. Including John. Also Daron came, and he received a tiny handmade version of Gibson SG from some girl. Just great.
I really can't wait the record dammit!
Taking photos during the show was strictly forbidden and that's why I couldn't bring any. Stupid...

Thanks for the review.
Im glad to finally see one, I was beginning to think no-one made it back from the gig alive
Good job getting the info about Hungry Ghosts, and the fact that it might be a bonus track sometime in the future |

that SUCKS! yeah.... I don't know but it was probably the club's bussiness. Guys from the band told us before the show that there should have been no problem. But......
Yeah, it could have been 50, I'm not sure cause it was so intense. |
