Seriously. I'll be honest, the program is cool, but since day one of installing I've had problems like...
-I play a song from an album and it splits that song away and makes it a new album.
-I buy a video from iTunes, says the payment is made... my video doesn't download. I check for purchased media, nothing. So I have to buy the video again.
-I copy a video out of my iTunes library to convert, delete the copy only to figure out that it wasn't a copy, it was the original video itself that I bought.
-I watch videos I've purchased and all they do is lag.
-My music lags.
-No, iTunes. I don't want fucking Safari. |

Mhm. MacKids love their precious Apple so much and then you get this. When I want to put a new album on my ipod, I have to rip the music through Windows Media Plater first, just to ensure I get all the album info, and even THEN I don't get my freaking album art And you can't add more than one .wma album to convert to make it go faster, no, you have to do it one at a time...
And unlike a regular mp3 player, you can't copy all your files off the ipod and onto the computer or other device. Nooo. You have to enable disk use, go to File or Organize and choose Folder and Search Options. From there, go to view and choose "Show hidden files" After that BAM! your music! But what's this? It's ALL been relabeled in four letters (ie. EQQI = Black by Pearl Jam on my ipod). That's where Itunes/Windows comes in. They identify the music, after you've copied every folder to your music (I don't know how it's organized, but it has something to do with if the song has been played) labeled F01-F013 but not all of your music is there. All that work, and by the time I finally want to listen to the other songs on my Seether album, I can't. Hoo-fucking-ray. And Itunes, once you've gone through all this, just acts like a freaking nut-tard because you can't synch your ipod! You'll lose songs and videos you want but can't readily identify, so what do you do?
Play every fucking song on your ipod, plug it in, repeat this process and hope your music and videos are all there so you can add them to the library. The library which somehow loses album art in the process!
And Safari is shit. |

| Don't get an iPod. This isn't 2005. There are a lot of better alternatives. |

| Heh, fuck Ipods. I hate them. I have a Creative. Way better, I love it. I had an Ipod but I just couldn't fucking stand that program. Although Creatives software is crap too, at least you can use Windows Media Player with it. And that would have to be the ONLY Microsoft program I like. Apart from gaming that's the only reason I dual boot with windows. |

| ....and that's why I don't have an iPod or use iTunes. Anything that has this pesky little i in front makes me run. Might be my old age. For me, there is no use in all that crap. |

I got an iPod in 2005. But, I really wish I waited and got the Zune or something else instead. I mean, its nice, it plays music, videos (after a stupid conversion process) and everything, but the others are better...and cheaper. |

| Yeah I have a Samsung P2. Great player for people like me who don't watch a lot of videos on the go, and just like music and the occasional vid and some radio. Not to mention it's sound quality is epic, has all these things you can do, quality, smoothness, a whole EQ system... And it's touch screen... I <3 it. |

I don't think most ipods have things like radio built in. My creatives got a better screen then the iPod I was considering at the time plus it's got LOTS of extra features. It's just great.
Anyone heard of the iRiver? Someone told me that they weren't bad. |

I have, right now, a Creative Zen V Plus, and although it's alright, I don't like the software because its as buggy as hell on my laptop, and it has a nasty habit of freezing up and I have to wait for the battery to die before I can recharge it, and recharging time takes forever. I like Ipods, they're alright, and when I was using iTunes for my friend, I found the software okay. I hate Macs, (or iMacs as they are now called) and sadly I will have to use them all the time at uni for my course.
I have yet to find my ideal mp3 player... |
