I've been working hard on creating my album and have recorded two new songs. The first one is called "Eternal Insanity". If you're a Tool fan, you can here the inspiration, noticable during the gradual building of the intro, as well as the verses. And of course, there's plenty of SOAD inspiration as well, especially in the chorus.

The other song is called "Defeat" and has quite a different "feel" than the other. It has very catchy verses, along with a melodic chorus. And the bridge creates a nice change of mood...a couple times.

I thrive on feedback, positive or negative, so please don't hesitate to let me know what you think of these songs, whether you have tips on improving them, think they are fine how they are, don't like them, or whatever else.
You can also listen to these songs, as well as a few of my others at my website: http://www.IngeniousMastermind.com
EDIT: I have uploaded the songs in MP3 format, with links added above. |

These are amazing!!
Can hear a lot of tool influence in the first one, combined with something Daron would play live.
Quality is brilliant as well!
I think Defeat sounds a little bit too much like A.T.W.A in parts, but it's still amazing.
I'm generally quite critical about how music sounds, but this is perfect.
Keep it up! |

There seems to be a problem with the streaming. Not sure wht's going on, but it's starting to do the same thing for me. If you close the window and click it again to try to play it again it should work. You may have to do it a couple times.
I have uploaded the songs in MP3 format if you can't get the stream to work:
Download "Eternal Insanity" (MP3, 8.4MB)
http://www.ingeniousmastermind.com/down ... sanity.mp3
Download "Defeat" (MP3, 4.5MB)

Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I noticed it sounded kinda like ATWA, though it was not intentional. I can't help it though because SOAD is about 90% of my influence. |

| like BearerOfLight said "Defeat" sounds like ATWA, but its a nice song. I like Eternal Insanity more, the production in both songs is really good. |

| i actually like the homage to SOAD in Defeat (intentional or not) it sounded great when you took the ATWA intro as somewhat of a starting poit and turned it into something completetly diffrent, origional, and still keeping the a melodical aspect. |
