Wow - very interesting in deed.
Although Daron said he wrote Lonely Day - about when he was in between relationships..conflicts with an older GF and I think the samething with whoever his GF was at the time ( or something to that effect..he said this in an interview).
You make a good point with the lyrics...we won't know if it's true but its still interesting. |

I think that the members of System would think your theory is cool, even if it wasn't actually what the writer (Daron) was thinking about when he wrote it.
I think he'd be honored to have such amazing proof that the emotions expressed in this song are so utterly universal.
Honestly, who hasn't felt like this at one time or another? Sure, people in a place of genocide who are seeing their friends die.
And so many of us have felt this lonely in a crowd. In the halls of our middle or high school. And beyond.
It's very much a univeral human theme. And that's why it really rocks, and part of the reason so many of us have so very much respect and admiration for the young Mr. Malakian.
