You think the international financial crisis doesn´t concern us?
You think it is a matter for brokers or bankers only ?
You´re wrong .
Brokers` and bankers` greed is the origin of the crisis.
They were ruining thousands of hard working people .
And now again "small" people like you ( or your parents)and me
will have to pay for their greed .
Because the governments try to solve the problems with money from taxpayers .
There are a lot of articles and reports to this topic.
One example :

Yeah, it's a crisis, but taxpayers shouldn't let their governments steal their money over this. The US gov't wants to force the US people into indentured servitude to the tune of 700 billion dollars over this. That's ridiculous. There's no way that 700b is going to cover the bubble that's bursting in the derivatives market. Taking that $$ from the tax payers will just make it harder for individuals to deal with the economic blows that are coming.

And according to Forbes.com that 700b figure is just an arbitrary number that the Treasury came up with. It's not tied to any particular set of data. They just wat to rob us.

This economic situation didn't happen over night. It was carefully manufactured by arrogant thieves.

Did you see that McCain suspended his campaign over this mess? What a wimp!

What I find mildly annoying was that the UK government thought it was all fine and dandy for them to plunge billions of tax payer's money into Northern Rock, without even considering that perhaps we'd want the money they've taken from our pay checks to go on something more deserving, like oh I don't know, THE FAILING NHS FOR INSTANCE?

Maybe even the failing education system in this country? But then again, I obviously must be a moron for thinking that the heath of the citizens or the education of the little bastards who manage to attend the failing schools is more important than a crappy bank NOBODY WILL BANK WITH.

Why not let Richard Branson buy the bank? I'd bank with a Virgin Bank, because Branson actually knows what he is doing.

In fact, I'm voting for Branson come next election. Screw Labour, I'm writing his name on the polling form no matter what.

I almost feel that he did this to get more votes. He did it to "help out" with the crisis which shows he's qualified to better run the country... somehow.. but it won't work because Obama's better~!!! Razz

If you look at the text of the Bail Out Bill http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/21/busin ... ftcnd.html (It's not too long.), it gives the Secretary of the Treasury (Paulson, former Pez of Goldman-Sachs) the power to nationalize any US bank he wants, and any buy out any mortgage he wants. Most frightening of all, Section 8 gives Paulson and his decisions freedom from any oversight or fear of consequences from any other US government agency --including the Courts. So Paulson could nationalize all the banks and start siezing property without worrying about any consequences. This Bail Out Bill would make Paulson more powerful in the US than the US President. He would have total economic power over the US.

And McCain has suspended his campaign and is trying to shove this bill down everyone's throats.

The press is trying to make it look like Republicans and Democrats are deeply divided over this bill, but so far it looks like McCain is one of the very few Congressmen in favor of this bill. Even most Republicans appear horrified by this piece of proposed legislation.

This Bill really weirded me out when I first read about it...It reminded me of the Great Depression...If the treasurer doesnt actually do anything to help the United States the economy will drop even more, people will begin pulling all their money out of the stock market, and investors will stop flowing in the U.S. The US will then fail and inflation will rise to an incredible rate where there will be no more middle class, but actually a seperation between the poor and the rich...if this actually goes bad which i hope it doesnt, Europe and the US will really struggle in keeping economies steady...and what i think will happen is the middle eastern countries like Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar will begin to buy into the United States in order to help pull them out of this crisis...Lets just hope the united states doesnt start printing paper money without it being backed by the gold and presenting it to the people. Hyper inflation will begin and 1million dollar bills can buy you a packet of gum...we have a really interesting couple of months ahead of us.

this finical system is based on completely unrealistic concepts.

You can't let this big farms have such huge debts while they dont have assets that cover such debt

and then after this the government doesnt cover the loss neither so, everyone whop has money there its gone .. like this?

it doesnt make any sense

Well, at least the comedians are having tons of fun with this crisis. Check out Comedy Central's homepage:

http://www.comedycentral.com/

I don't know who I love more, Stewart or Colbert.

In last night's debate, both McCain and Obama revealed that they both want to sell the US down the river by voting for the bail out bill--which is more of a thieving fascist takeover of the US than a bail out bill. Man.

Oh, and I love this picture from demonstrations on Wall Street this past weekend:

^I had no idea about anything going on (demonstrations like this one), and I questioned the ones that I usually hear about because there was no notice, surely they would have, but not?? THAT doesn't make any sense besides them being part of the monopoly of bullshit.

Also what I'm thinking relates sort of to this... *read below*

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIhHWXek574

Has anyone heard anything related to this vid, if things are true or not?

The thing I dislike the most is what Burgess says about being kept out of meetings and things going on behind closed doors, it ALWAYS pisses me off. But please read the comments people leave along with the video description BECAUSE... they do things behind closed doors so we won't know what's going on. There was a case with the Military Commisions Act in which I contacted Senator Clinton - I printed out quite a few pages detailing the removal of habeuscorpus and (wtf it's not even on spell check anymore Confused), anyways... I gave her copies and asked her why this type of legislation doesn't get into the media until Bush signs it into law, which she never answered. I'm not surprised, but I really was just trying to see what she would say, if anything at all.

But it's questionable about the martial law deal, but I also heard rumors about a certain military unit being pulled out of Iraq to be active in the US, which the description says Oct. 1st. They've been integrating police force with military for a long time.

No one hears about the martial law in Arkansas (Hanna-West Hanna?) besides if you're listening to Coast To Coast AM and people from that town call in to tell what's going on, and no one hears about the tent cities in Southern California that are inhabited by people that have lost their homes.

And yeah Caylin, Section 8...

"Sec. 8. Review.

Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.
"

*breath*
Ok. Razz
What else did I want to say... I can't remember. Maybe later I'll come back with something that is a little more organized than this bologna. Laughing

</rant>

I told people it was going to come to a point, it was going to get really really bad. And so many people around me are scared shitless that the elections would be suspended, and if that happens, riots could break out and martial law can publicly be declared. There's so many things leading up to what they're afraid of, so many theories and propaganda it's driving me CRAZY!!

What the fuck.

I guess the martial law referred to in the YouTube video is a parliamentary procedure restricted to the House, rather than the broader national martial law that we most often think of during times such as these. According to a commentor under that video, Congressional Martial Law is when a bill is required to be reviewed and voted on within 1 day instead of the usual 3 days. The congressmen are encouraged to stay at the capitol building for debate and review during this time.

And yes, I guess the protests on Wall Street were pretty impressive over the weekend: http://hubpages.com/hub/Protests-on-Wal ... howing-you

But like the bodies being pulled out of the wreckage in Galveston and on the Bolivar Peninsula, the Empire would prefer that the masses be kept in the dark about these things. http://www.burntorangereport.com/showDi ... aryId=6804 There was an article about bodies still being found amongst Galveston's rubble in yesterday's San Antonio Express-News, but I didn't see it at www.mysa.com.

I'm not really afraid about the elections taking place or not. The elections are meaningless anyway. Did you see the McCain/Obama debate? I saw two lying snakes on that stage--not honorable men. Samantha Bee was right. Ron Paul won the Presidental debates--without even gracing the stage.

I hope the US citizens continue to pay close attention to what's happening with the economy and politics right now. Clearly, the banks, military contractors, oil companies and all 3 branches of the Federal Government have been working very hard over the last 8 years to completely bankrupt the US and its citizenry. These last 8 years have been one huge scam. 9/11 was a part of it, as is this ridiculous finance legislation. They have been bleeding us dry--and will continue to do so until the citizenry rises up, grabs those men in their suits, and sticks them in the FEMA camps in East Texas where they belong. Put them in that hot humid sun without any ice at all. Let them be the ones to pull the bodies out of the rubble and the sand.

Yeah but the thing is.... and people don't think about it... they have us trapped, and I'm sure it happens with every election.
In every instance they give you these issues to agree upon, they use the media to do this and then there are two candidates playing on the American public. They can't do anything without support from the public, so they play us.

We're trapped, because we had a first time female presidential candidate (Clinton) vs. the first black candidate (obvious), McCain who is a POW and a hardball republican, now that Obama chooses Biden as his running mate, McCain slaps us in the face with Palin. We're trapped by the economy, by being ever so divided over the war, by ruthless overtaking of the Bush administration, global warming, gas shortage in the southeastern US ([enter] off-shore drilling), etc...

What they do as far as actions way more in my sense of the world than what they say and do not say. Neither of them impress me and it scares ME because I can't vote for something that I know is a total lie. And everywhere I go people say, "You need to vote, your voice will be heard" regardless, picking the lesser of two evils is still evil. It's all a game. Obama changes his face like I change my clothes.

So seriously, the chaos surrounding everything is coming from the public. How convenient that the Dow dropped its lowest the day the bailout bill failed in the house.

And yes, I can understand the Congressional Martial law. Wink It's so fucked up.
