I was thinking for a while - trying to clear my thoughts after the shock .
And there came to my mind , how Daron was seemingly enjoying the tour in Europe .
He was talking about another album plus another tour next year ,wasn´t he ?
And after a couple of weeks he doesn´t feel like it anymore ?
Okay , everyone has the right , to change his/her mind .
But - hasn´t Daron got some responsibility ?
Not just to his fans - also to his bandmembers . |

This is a sad day for Scars and SOAD.
Scars was really great, I'm happy I got to meet them all and see them twice live.
Daron was such a nice person. He was really humble to me and was really cool to talk to. He was someone you could really engage in conversation with...but people act different sometimes, so I'm no gonna make conclusions I can't prove. I still admire him and love his music and am honored i met him. Who knows, maybe the pressure of fame and fortune can really fuck with someone's mind, even more than the "ego" thing....but none of us (i think lol) are famous so i guess its hard for us to know, right?
Scars is done. Equally as disturbing, this whole situation really makes a SOAD reunion look almost nonexistent. Daron has probably burned bridges with this decision; and I respect his personal decision as HIS and HIS alone, but I don't respect him for being inconsiderate to all of his fans and others who invested time and money to Scars. The management company and record label are probably angry, and Beno (velvet hammer), who was/is System's manager also managed Scars, so it makes this situation all the more complicated. I hope Daron hasn't alienated himself from John or anyone else from SOAD, or anyone from Scars as well. Everyone in Scars was really awesome. Franky was such a badass and he was really humble and genuine. Danny is really cool to talk to online and whatnot and John and Dominic were great as well.
In the end, I think Daron's decision is one that he will end up regretting. He probably just made a really rash decision in an angry moment. Sadly, his reputation in the music business may have undergone permanent damage...and yes, similar to that of Axl Rose.
And lastly, people should really stop with bashing Daron because its gonna make him never want to come back out and play for us again. For all we know he could be going to rehab or going through some kind of personal struggle. We all gotta remember he's human. What if we went on to a forum and saw dozens of people wishing bad on us and cussing us out. I, for one, would never wanna face the public again.
I support you Daron, be safe and happy bro... just never stop making music. |

| Wow, I was a bit shocked when I read it. I can't believe this yet. I hope we will know why this happened. |

Man, all this Daron bashing is seriously making me depressed.
I mean, its like some of you guys forget that he is a human-being, not just your entertainment.
With how excited Daron seemed to be about Scars (and I should mention I REALLY doubt it's because of money, because Daron and John went out of their way to avoid being sold by their work in the past, which otherwise probably would have helped a lot in sales)
For Daron to end this thing, so abruptly, something big must have happened.
I don't have any theories, only un-educated suspicions...Like his father passing or having a health problem, or Daron getting throat cancer (God I hope not, *knocks on wood*).
This thing has to be very serious, and either way he probably isn't dealing with it well, and we have a whole bunch of immature brats who call themselves fans and supporters.
If anything, this is when he needs us the most, really.
Not to get too romanticized, but seriously.
*To Daron Malakian: I hope your in good comfort throughout your situation...Best regards, man.* |

Guys guys look on the bright side , if we really know daron , we know that whenever he s not touring,he s writing songs, so YAAAY new material, and if he s really going into struggles, well think how that would affect his writing , i m sure in a great way......
(could it be in my wildest dreams daron has stopped for a sec and looked at himself in the mirror and compared the good old soad days with what he is now and decided to go back?.......keep on dreaming) |

Thank you very much. I agree with what you said above. A great majority of so-called fans seem to have turned their support into flaming criticism. I understand the frustration, but this is just too much. |

Well, at least he responds to the criticism! And we know it's some "personal stuff..."
Hmm. He says the music of Scars will live on, but does that mean the band? |

| Actually, if Daron is making another Album, I just don't care, I love so much Daron's work to boy-cut it. |
