They make very simple songs nothing to compilcated. I dont really like this band but i gotta admitt they make really catchy songs that get stuck in my head for quite some time. That is not a good thing or a bad thing it really depends if the song is good or not. But they are consider chick hardcore and i dont think they mind or else they would make heavier stuff. All in all they are a good band if you cant handle the real heavy stuff or is you like having a song stuck in you head for about a week.

Edit: well just noticed that they have 11 songs on there new album as well kinda weird.

Just heard the new album--I like it a lot. Reminds you of the older metal days, when bands were considered metal but didn't scream at all. Very good album.

I haven't heard this new album.. but a friend of mine introduced me to Avenged.. and although the guy who sings sounds really Emo sometimes.. they're pretty good.. they could be so much better if they were just a bit heavier, though.

Considering Avenged Sevenfold emo is innacurate, IMO--the band just sounds more like older metal like Metallica, Iron Maiden or whatever--the lead singer of Avenged can't scream anymore, really, after having vocal chord surgery.

Well... no, I suppose not, and yeah, the guitars of it are more old-school metal, but it's just the guys voice.. sounds so fuckin' Emo to me sometimes.. and that pisses me off a bit, but apart from that, Avenged Sevenfold are good, and they'll definately last.

My friend says the same exact thing. He and I argue all the time about whether Avenged Sevenfold is a great band or not -- I say yes, he says no specifically because of M. Shadows' voice. I'll get him to change his mind one of these days.....

I just fell in love with this band when I first heard them because it took me back to the days of thrash and NWOBHM.

I like them, but like some of you say... the singer kind of doesn't fit. Sounds like he's singing through his nose.

A friend of mine gave me a song of them, called "Warmness". Sorry, I found it horrible. ^^ But I think I have the wrong impression of the band.

The bands I admire and respect are these that have a sound that is unique, but built on it so it’s not repetitive, like Faith No More and U2
