The kingdom is collapsing.
Father, does his frail Question strike,
Shivering, shaking, the heart in which you light?
I'd wish to trace the drops upon your cheek,
Your aging skin, as his, tearing with the midnight sights,
And in upon the sea, he gazes,
Hole gaping,
Hands gripping,
Hell opening,
And heaven crying.
"Where did I go wrong?"
Tell me father,
Where did he slip, upon the grey months?
Where did his limbs freeze?
Cracking your eyes as ice upon the lake,
Father, where did the leaves dry, falling upon the mother?
Spare the moment, crisp and gliding,
To explain the collapse of kingdoms rising.
This night I try to reserve for you, father,
So as mine you may hide your tears in vein,
So as a son you may weep with pride,
For he feels the rushing water,
The cooling, red river, like no other,
Reach to his heart and save his eyes,
The gaping hole,
The gaping hole left inside,
I watch the snow drift to the right,
Feel the wind pushing the left,
And pause in hopes you've felt this light.
Do you wish for this, father?
For the lions to lay and die,
For tigers to purr at your side?
I did not kiss him,
He did not kiss I,
But for you I'd pray this debt would pay,
Explain once again, to me,
The way this kingdom falls from sight.
Dearest father,
Kill for me,
Take this notion to his bed,
Did he cry? I could not see,
Your head was bent in your lap,
Hand curling upon your brow,
And from there, here, you blocked the purest view,
Of the men who fathered me.
I know not of this collapse,
Of the hyacinths, burning into the dirt,
I know not of the lilies, wiliting.
I know nothing of this kingdom,
Just stories I create of its rebirth. |

| I'm going to have to read over this a few times before I can fully digest it, but basically I love it...your use of imagery is amazing as usual, you always put me there, even if it wasnt intended. |
