And whatīs with Jason Newsted ?

but they don't have the same attitude behind the music, no real anger or ferocity in it. the return to the old sound is completely synthetic, completely dishonest to themselves

I think the reason for this is they are too fed up . I mean they have their fortunes , their sure income , their save lives .
You canīt be ( and sound ) so angry and ferocious when everything in your life is save .

everything in my life is far from safe, saved, or whatever form of "save" you were trying to put across. that gives me every right to be angry and ferocious, and sound just as such. you can't be counting money after a sold out show and getting blown in your hotel room and write dark thoughts and good songs. look at james hetfield, the guy evaded death, overcame alcohol addiction, he's fine now. so why the hell is he still performing and writing songs? cause he wants your money, and making everybody think that he still has it will get him your money. i'm not stupid. i know the lyrics in his songs are lies. therefore, they are sellouts.

I, like most others, like to think he does it for the love of music. But in the end who really knows? As for the lyrics though... Have you bothered reading them? How can you justify he is TRYING to sellout when they make absolutely no sense?

However, that is what metal is about. Metal isn't about politics, or the economy. It's about just being metal: crazy solos, double bass, moshing. It's about listening to a song and rocking the fuck out and shitting yourself at how heavy the riffs are or how intense the drum fill was. That's metal.

I can guarantee you 90 percent of the comedians on TV fabricate most of their jokes, but because of that should I refuse to laugh and turn the channel? I don't think so, Scooter.

Rightttt

I think someone just doesn't like the music. If you don't like it then just go listen to Kill Em All 40 times in a day it's as easy as that..

As said above he does it for his love of music which is something a fan boi like you will never understand.

Months ago now, they've remix them and pressed them on 180g vinyl.
You should theoretically be able to get them anywhere that sells vinyls (the bigger HMV stores do).

You can get them in Metallicas official store too..
