I downloaded a live from system and Daron sings "Southern Man" (he sings/plays it fucking well btw) just before Kill Rock'n'Roll... if you don't believe me it's on the download section Dallas 8-11-05... so I don't know what to think.. maybe Kill Rock'n'Roll is about Neil Young??? lol

Sounds pretty good if the only part of the lyrics are analyzed, but if u look at the whole song... well in my opinion, it won't make lotta sense.

Except Neil Young isn't dead, and he wasn't a rock and roll star, he was a country star.

The song could be about Cobain. He was always ''mowing down the sexy people'' by thinkin' that it doesn't matter how you look. (possibly mowing down the glam rock stars) Glam rock and the whole 80's thing died after the grunge wave and Kurt was the one who started it. So he kinda killed rock n' roll.

I have always thought that Kurt had thought all his life that he's not gonna live very long time so he used drugs etc. (Ate all the grass that he wanted 'cause accidents happen in the dark) And when he was married, had a child
and a lot of money it was too late to start a ''long happy life.'' He couldn't stop doing drugs and was very depressed.

But Cobain's death didn't kill rock 'n roll. It was killed by grunge. and Cobain's suicide killed grunge. Maybe he kinda owed it to rock n' roll for killing it. Ok that's pretty ironic...
