| I think the song is about how people over-analyze every lyric in a song hehe. I think the song is just about being original and making your words powerful. If the pen is mightier than the sword, then its about using words to change ideas. "Shake your spear at Shakespeare" you can try to fight him weapons, but words, poems, plays and sonnets are whats going to live on. If you killed John Doe in a war to bring democracy to his country, ten years from now no one would even remember, but if you wrote up a way to bring democracy, I think people would remember you longer. Just my 2 cents |

I've taken mushrooms before and thought I've spoken to a Cash Point (ATM) machine and have a refrigerator 'beep' at me. Drugs can mess your mind up. SOAD do talk about War and Government shit, like RATM.. so I guess SuiteKitty's answer is better.
