System of a Down started their long awaited European tour yesterday in Lisbon, Portugal
the show remains for hour and half and it was mixed from old songs and new songs from newest album 'Mezmerize' *Update the complete set list was (in order) :

Bit gutted though, i hpe this isnt the set list for the whole of the tour cos i wanna hear Mr. Jack! but its good to see theyve gotta good few new album songs in there aswell as old. Btw, who ever went to the gig, how well played was revenga and Question???

they DID play Mr. Jack, I think I wasn´t very clear when I posted the setlist.
Anyway, the show started with a big blanket (I don´t know if thats the right word) with the Mezmerize face covering the stage and then we could see daron's shadow while they played Soldiers Side. Then they played BYOB and i cant remember the order of the rest of the songs.
Revenga was really well played and in Question! Serj used an acustic guitar and the intro of the song was a little diferent from the album version I think... but it was great. They also did interludes in the middle of War?, Mr.jack and some other which I don´t remember.

They also played Roullete and Mr.Jack. Sugar had that robotic voice intro. They didn't play PLUCK. I think they now remember the Armenian Genocide by playing Holy Mountains (wich for those who don't know, refer to mount Ararat, the place where Armenians went, trying to survive). Serj with his arms wide open told everyone to pray with them during the chorus. God Bless The Armenian, Der Vhorghomya. Fucking beautifull. I get creeps everytime I remeber. It was the best soad show i've attended at. I was in 2nd row, right in front of Serj. Musics we're well played, state of the art, Serj got wrong on Chop Suey but he appologized. Nothing big. Daron sometimes fucks up, trying to do some new instant solos, who get fuckin stupid, but who cares? he's a rockstar now anyway... and dates a cute hollywood model. He hates plastic people but he lives like one. He has plastic skulls all over his place. John looked tired. The tempo was getting slower towards the end. He never smiled. He never smiles. Still he's number 1 drummer in the world, bet it. Shavo was there too :P Playing his show, doing his thing, smoking some marijuana on stage sitting on the ground, with his back on the ampeg cab's. He's cool, always relaxed and smiling. one curious fact, on BYOB Serj semmed to point to Shavo on the "Everybody's going to the party..." part. For those who don't know 90% of the bass you hear on mesmerize, the man behind it is daron the great dictator. Serj got that speech political attitude while singing Prison Song. It cuts deeper than mom knows... He should be the next US President. Give Serj a place to stand and he will move the WORLD. LOVE YOU ALL HOLLYWOOD MOTHERFUCKERS. Enjoy free Europe (more than U.nitedS.kinheads)

I was there... Eheheh. AMAZING! Actually, Sugar was the last one. They played a bit with the robot voice and then (in robot voice): "This is our last one... Sugaaaaaaaar..." The crowd went nuts and they rocked the sh*t out of Lisbon with Sugar... :) Toxicity, Holy Mountain, Lost In Hollywood, BYOB and Aerials were the highlights of the night in my opinion... Serj looked like Captain Hook, as usual. Daron talked a little about his c*ck before Cigaro and then started to sing with a really whiny voice "my c*ck is much bbigger than yoours..." before the song came in. Also, in Suite-Pee, after the first minute, the music stopped and Serj said "ladies and gentlemen, mister Shavo Odadjian!" the crowd cheered and Shavo continued the song...

hiya u's Yes. they played Lisboa-Portugal- but nOOO it was not kick off of the european tour - they played before in a so - called-club in Cologn, Germany, tickets where for sale on e-bay--- Lisboa was great - the pit was NOT squashing - we had a REALLY GOOD TIME- Daron should keep on fiddlin' his bass rather than making our ears blead when he#'s trying 2 sing - his voice is -hmmp ff - not worth a listen - is he 'aving it about his bit 'coz he's a castrate? -nevermind- the rest of the gig was roaring. thanx 2 soad - forever mesmerized

I was there! it was BRUTAL!!!! the best concert of my life!! I can't express what I felt!! when they played "shop suey" and "toxicity" everybody went crazy!!! there was moch everywhere, even far from the stage.
I can't say much 'cause "puffskein" said it all! except that I can't wait for they to come back!
......no words to espress....
