SYSTEM OF A DOWN's "Steal This Album" has been certified platinum by the
Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), signifying shipments of more
than 1,000,000 units. The collection, which came out in November 2002, features
16 fully realized tunes whose demos had been pirated on the web.
SYSTEM OF A DOWN's five-million-plus selling (worldwide) "Toxicity" debuted
in the Number one position on The Billboard 200 charts when it was released in
September 2001. The album generated four Top 10 singles, including the No. 1
smash "Aerials". The follow-up to "Toxicity" is tentatively scheduled for
release in early 2005(according to the source).
