No offence. but i dont think that john is capable of playing such a complex song as lateralus.. Just listen to the bass drum beat and the time signatures. Did anyone go to the show?

Freddyboy - evidently he is capable, or he wouldn't have been allowed to do it. How would you know, anyway? If you take what John does for System (and the various internet clips) as the extent of his talent, that's daft. A lot of drummers, including myself, never put out all we can do at once because there's no point, it's not called for and it seems arrogant and distasteful. I reckon that John could pull it off - as much of a guess as you saying he couldn't. Yeah, there's a possibility he simply played the song differently with easier bits and time sigs, but why write him off like that? And on another note, Lateralus aint THAT hard to play correctly, it just takes time (a lot) and skill.
